Summary
There was fire in his eyes now, black eyes bleeding into an ethereal red, wisps of white curling out from his shoulders as his hair begins to shift from greasy to fluffy cloud and back. There was a snarl on his face as he stood and marched towards them and giving them a good look at him for the first time.
“I’m a Hero?” He asked with a bitter laugh. “Kid, have you gotten a good look at me?”
He stretched his arms wide causing the red vest he wore to open further and reveal a gnarly scar across his chest, it was red and angry but old. It was accompanied by dozens, hundreds if not thousands of others. Bite marks, claws, burns, guns… puckered keloids that were healed wrong and stitched wonky. There were some they couldn’t even begin to guess their age or what caused them.
Bile churned in their stomach, lodging in their throat at the tapestry of agony and war across Anka’s skin.
