Hazel Witwicky was perfectly fine with her situation. Yes, she might be tired of the heat, the sand, and Fig's jokes- but it was the norm. She liked the norm. The norm is good.
However, seven months in Qatar with another five to go would make anyone eager to go home. She would like to see her family in person and not from the screen of a shitty laptop. She would like to drive two hours to the beach and enjoy the sand with the ocean instead of by itself.
But of course, not everything follows the norm, and of course her brother has to put himself right in the middle of it all.Series
