And, truthfully, Seonghyeon had heard the words enough times to understand them. The three words that can be taken back easily. Love is approval, usefulness. Love means you have done something worthy of receiving it. Because, love is rarely given without a reason.
And when the reason disappears, so does the love.
But then, Keonho comes breaking down his walls, and becomes the very person who challenges every principle of love Seonghyeon has ever known.
Or; Keonho is Seonghyeon's muse. When he is asked whether or not Keonho writes songs about him, he starts to consider the possibility. However, when Keonho's band releases a new album, the lyrics don't feel like they're about Seonghyeon. The doubt blossoms, and he has never wished for anything more than to be Keonho's muse.

it's safe to say ahn keonho's a goner when it comes to eom seonghyeon. if you asked him how long he's been infatuated with his classmate, he'd say something along the lines of "uh, i'm not really sure how long. but it's been a while." the thing is, he's partially lying. yes it's been a while, but he is very, very sure of how long it's been. not that anyone's counting, but it's been two years, eleven months, and 27 days since he started liking seonghyeon—and in four days it'll be a pathetic three years. yay to him.

Around them the playground keeps breathing, wet chains knocking softly against themselves.
Keonho lowers his eyes toward his hands. "You only look at me when I'm bleeding or high or crying or passed out somewhere."
There are some people who spend so long being rescued that they eventually start glowing in emergency colors, smoke signal people, car crash people, people whose grief grows sharp little hooks because they become terrified nobody will touch them otherwise.
Keonho lifts one shoulder. "If I'm okay, you get bored."
And suddenly Seonghyeon understands why people avoid mirrors when they're already having a bad day.
