Thank you so much for writing this! This is exactly what I needed to move on from S1 and my unresolved feelings for these two. It was the best kind of pain, too and it fits right into the mood of the show.
I'm so sorry for the late reply!! Oh gosh, s1 just ripped my heart apart. I wish s2 provided more resolution for these two, but as far as I'm concerned, they're pretty dang canon X3;; Thank you so much for reading and your lovely comment!!
