Comment on Time Travel Tango, or, Rasa and the Cat

  1. Thin vertical color bars made up of all the gender and sexuality pride flags put together. Full-caps white text in a black box that sits in the bottom half of the image reads "We are experienceing gender difficulties. Please stand by."

I finished reading this and immediately started crying from all the emotions I was feeling. Holy fuck, this is amazing and I love every bit of it.

You maintained the characters so well, even as things changed and moved around them. Cat's sass and edge of bitterness balanced beautifully with the young hope and attitude of Kankuro and his siblings. And i actually like Rasa as you wrote him, which feels weird to say.

Cat (and you) did an amazing job manipulating things to fix just about everything that was bad about the siblings' childhood. His interactions with tiny Gaara were so sweet and shfjfbdhdjfjf. I also enjoyed the moments where he was alone and we got to see the emotional toll all this had on Cat- no, on Kankuro.

I loved the training scenes as well as the banter between the three teachers. Also, the shenanigans of the kids trying to get off his facepaint are hilarious. Watching Temari, Kankuro, and Gaara go from strangers to siblings to a team is so heartwarming and beautiful.

You've been working on this story for a while and I'm so happy and honored you finally felt it was at all ready to share. It far exceeded anything I imagined it might be. Thank you so much for writing this and sharing it with us. I know this will be another of your stories that I come back to reread over and over.
