Thanks so much for that! 🥺 Like every time before, I’m planning to do a slightly different take on a popular trope (or tropes in this case), so I hope I’ll justify the trust you placed in me! :)

    I went back and forth with this chapter so many times, you have no idea. For the longest time, it didn’t feel right, so it makes me incredibly happy that you think Cloud’s horror and pain felt real! I tried to imagine what it would be like for him, without any memories of how he got from A to B... especially since it involves Sephiroth, and I think he would be terrified. He would question and distrust everyone around him.

    I love that you’re already feeling empathy for Sephiroth, despite this story being very one-sided so far. A little spoiler I can give you is that there miiight be a chapter from Seph’s POV somewhere down the line...

    Thanks so much, truly. I really worked my butt of trying to convey those emotions, but even when I posted it, I wasn’t 100% happy with it, and I thought I didn’t do it quite right, so it means SO MUCH to read all this! 😭💖 I’m glad you like how it turned out.

    I’m surprised I never mentioned this one... I have another finished one (that needs to be edited, so I’ll probably post it in August at the rate I’m going 🫠) that I need to tell you about next time!
