    Anya as a frog, looking up, very cute

    Oh my god I loved this!! I very much enjoyed reading Anya nd Becky getting ready together and greeting the guests together, and I loved the bit about Anya and Bill thinking about arm-wrestling each other 😁 I enjoy any universe in which Bill recognises Anya's strength!
    And then the rest of it: holy hell, you nailed the bitchy vibe of Blondie. I actually saw red when she insulted Anya. And then poor Damian doesn't know how to help her feel better, but it's okay because he gets Becky, and honestly that was the second best thing he could have done 🥳 (behind just telling her what he thinks outright haha)
    This party was so much fun, it felt so buoyant to read and the last part where Damian finally comes over to kiss her is masterful!! The energy as through the roof and I'm so proud of him for finally making a move, and in front of all their friends as well! I felt like cheering along with the entirety of the crowd, it was so much fun 😁

      im so happy you enjoyed the opening with anya and becky (the two of them getting ready for a party together is such a classic in sxf fics, and i knew i had to incorporate it!) as well as the rapport between anya and bill (they r!! friends!! 🥰)

      and sooo glad to hear blondie was appropriately bitchy, i fear it can sometimes be too fun to write nasty characters (but it's even more fun to write their comeuppance 🤭) and yes damian getting becky was so important to me!! i don't think damian is the most,,,, skilled at dealing with emotions (to put it one way 😂), but i Do think he would know that becky can be there in a moment like this for anya (bc becky loves anya just as much as he does! 💛)

      and omg 😭 the highest praise!! the final scene was easily the one i was most nervous about bc i wanted it to feel vibrant and climactic, and im so so happy to hear that energy came across 💛
