I'm glad you appreciated the twist, I wasn't sure if readers would get mad because the avengers weren't all cuddly and cute with each other ;) But yeah I feel that Natasha is more of a soldier than a leader and Steve is a leader. She wants to be good but she can't really trust herself so it's easier for her to follow someone else (SHIELD) whereas Steve is certain of what's right and makes sure everyone follows him!
