Kudos are a quick way for a user to leave positive feedback on a work, using the "Kudos" button at the bottom of the page. If the user is logged in, their username will be linked in the list of kudos, while if they are not, the kudos will be added to the total number of guest kudos. A user can only leave one kudos per work. You can find more information about kudos in the Kudos section of the FAQ.
Hits are intended as a rough measure of how many users have accessed a work. A hit is registered every time someone opens a work, with a few exceptions. If two clicks in a row come from the same IP address (and thus, the same computer) only the first one is registered. Moving between chapters in a work only counts as a single hit, not one per chapter. In addition, if you’re logged in, hits are not counted when you visit your own works.
