Comment on From the Ashes

  1. This last chapter is so sweet and amazing. I love protective!Avengers. Bruce would totally give the best and most intimidating shovel talk!
I really liked this Clint throughout the entire story. Like I said before, your Clint is a refreshing change from the way he is usually written. In this last chapter I very much liked the way you illustrate how he is feeling about dating Phil and not jumping right back to where they were. It's very realistic for them both to come to the conclusion that they don't have to start over again necessarily but they do need to rebuild with a different approach.

Per Se was an excellent choice! I've been there. It's amazing. I'm really glad Phil had a favor to call in otherwise the next story in this series may have had to be about Phil selling his soul to the devil. No way ordinary people are getting a reservation there with 3 days notice. At least not on a weekend. But that is just the awesomeness that is Phil Coulson.
Yay for more in this series! Honey, you just keep right on writing them and I will be right here to read them. Seeing an update to this story popping up in my mailbox always drives me right to the link no matter what I'm doing. Laundry? What laundry? Dinner? Who says my kids need to eat again? Don't they know I have fic to read?? :-)
Seriously, thanks for this great story. It was intelligent with a refreshingly different take on the characters and situations. I look forward to the next.

    1. First off, I am totally envious that you've been to Per Se.

Second off, thank you so much for the lovely and flattering comments. (Although I feel I should apologize to your family?) It's been a while since I've enjoyed writing this much and it fills me with so much joy that others enjoy my little hobby.

I've been a little fixated with Bruce and Clint being total bffs, so I found it amusing to imagine Bruce giving the scariest shovel talk ever. The Hulk aside, Bruce has years of scientific experimentation and dealing with General Ross under his belt - that's got to lead to some imaginative threats.

While I will always want a happy ending for Clint and Phil, I don't believe that everything will be fixed in an instant. True, long-lasting relationships take time and effort.

Thank you so much for reading and the always wonderful comments.
