This was really hard to read, but in a good way. It was physically painful to see Sherlock thinking John was just like the others, waiting for John to hurt him. Killed me. I read it twice just to die a little bit more. Truly gorgeous work with this. I hope you'll write more in this series.
Ha! It was hard to write, too. It's worse for Sherlock to think he's found someone who might take him as he is, then think even John has a limit...then find out he actually doesn't - yet. He expects people to hurt him, and believes at some level that's the way it's always going to be. Which makes him hurt other people, too. he's just pants at this whole relationship thing.
