"You're not just growing up. You are growing sad."
I feel like this line particularly broke me because, I mean wow, the honesty in such a simple statement caused me to feel such an impact. I kid you not, I just spent a minute recovering composure from that single part.
The way you wrote this was divine. Everything was beautifully put together; from the subtle minor details like Hakyeon wanting the members to have gopchang for their sakes rather than his own to the major turning points like the damage done to Hakyeon's back and how troubling it is for him to handle in the face of his schedules - it flowed so naturally. I've always felt Hakyeon was constantly carrying such a hefty weight with being leader and the way you've captured a perspective of it and developed a future so possible for his role in VIXX is incredible and a little tragic, too. I especially applaud you for including Minhyuk and Eunkwang, it was a really sweet touch.
Really, the warmth of OT6 in this was flawless. Thank you for writing it.
Your heartfelt comment really made my day ♥ Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful comment.
That line—has got to be my personal favourite in the fic and was one of the first few lines I wrote. I'm really glad it resonated with you too, and so much. I had so much feelings after watching Hakyeon's Mnet interview (all his interviews, really, have that bit of bittersweet in them) and it's been a fic I've wanted to write since then. Hakyeon feels so much and bears so much of VIXX's burdens and I just wanted to provide a little glimpse into that. Thanks for picking up on all the little details as well :') It means a lot that they rang true to you.
I'm so glad that you enjoyed the OT6 friendship as well, and of course Hakyeon's close friendships with Minhyuk and Eunkwang. Thanks again for loving the fic so much ♥
Comment on you did well today, too
