I had a lot of fun thinking about how I wanted to write it, and I'm really happy you appreciate how I made a choice to have Nicky initiate most things in his and Joe's relationship. After what happened to him he really needed time to heal and to feel like he had some power in a relationship, and Joe gave him that, by always wanting to go at Nicky's pace.
