  1. I'm gonna be totally honest, if someone gave me a copy of The Hobbit as lovely as the one you described, I'd kiss the daylights out of them, too.

    I really enjoyed Sam connecting with Cas over their love of books, Kevin being quietly judgmental, and the image of Cas reading with Dean's head in his lap. This was such a sweet story, and it left me feeling warm.

My father was gifted an entire set of books that looked just like this, including Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, The Hobbit, the original Robin Hood, etc. Most of the stories were probably not appropriate for a young child to be reading, and they had definitely been made for a fancy library and not grubby little hands... but since he was not a reader and I was, they became mine. I entirely wore the spines cracked and the gold leaf off the page edges on some of them, but no one can say they were not loved!

      I'm so glad that you enjoyed the boyos! Really, the found family is the best thing about SPN, and I just love giving them all the chance to be sweet and domestic... thank you so much!
