I was totally, 100% a 'real books and only paper books forever and ever' person, and refused my family's offer to get me a Kindle for a present for years. There are stories of me packing as many paperback books into my backpack as could fit for long plane flights, because what happened if I didn't like the one I had chosen to read on the flight?
(Then one day my sister got fed up and just GAVE me a Kindle, and for the avid traveler that I used to be, it was life-changing...)
I'm so glad that you felt the similarities, though... thank you so much!
Oh I hear you!!! My messenger bag was stuffed with so many books. I didn't read fiction until I was in grad school and found Kathryn Kurtz, Mercedes Lackey, Ellis Peters, Agatha Christie, Conan Doyle, and so many other historical fiction writers. Then I found archive.org. I can read American and British English back to the 15th Century, so I go to the Archive for primary sources to download or just read online. They have so many other sources too, that some days I just go and browse like a library.
