Genuinely so invested in this au WOW. I think this fic is the first I've seen to still be set in the world of Infected but alter the plot ever so slightly; the change in meaning of the original dialogue is so fascinating and effective to the story. So so into it, thank you for the fic! I'm excited to read from Dina's pov tomorrow :)
Thank you so much!! I'm really interested in changing things around in their canon universe to see how things change and impact the characters. I've had this idea for ages but have been caught up working on my main fic (similar thing where the fireflies went differently). I think I'm going to explore more of them though, I really enjoyed writing this one.
