oh my gosh! this is a really beautiful story! i love how peggy understands and really sees susan, even when she doesn't know all of susan's secrets just yet! you've captured them so perfectly here, especially peggy! her observations of susan, and her interest first into the mystery of her, and then into the actual person herself is really wonderful to see! and i just love how you wrote both of them; the comfort in the field, the banter, the misunderstanding, and the relationship between them developing over time! ❤
