2) Sure, but wouldn't Alec still have questioned/be shocked at Joe's boldness or reacted in some way like looking around to make sure? The scene had Alec not even acknowledged it and only be shocked Joe had a subspace rather than also be shockrd of his use of it when they're out in the open. Was Alec so surprised by the subspace that he forgot they were out in the open and only remembered/reminded when he wanted to use his watch's screen? Was this one of those things where Alec will be hit with the realization that Joe was able to use the subspace out in the open a short moment after he's left?
Or was this a matter of how Alec felt it was a bit risky due to how long he'd have the screen out (in comparison to the subspace use which was quick and brief) and due to the openness of the area? Cause while they're out in the open, Joe commented that it was "the perfect location for a discrete transfer of the costumes." It seemed like there might not have been any people around but it was still an open enough space (not a dark alley) that it could have given Alec the feeling that it was too public/open and therefore made him apprehensive or feel there's a risk. There wasn't actually any risk, but he felt it was too open and decided against it due to the feeling that there might be (like imagining some rando walking by). Like how Taylor knows when it's safe but feel the need to be extra careful and to look around for the sake of her own nerves.
