    I love this so, so much!!!

    The banter is absolutely pitch-perfect. Alex is delightfully bratty. Yassen is his usual aloof, inscrutable equally annoying self.

    It's funny, poignant, sweet and so completely in character.

    This is one of those fics I'll keep coming back to again and again.

    Favourite line: “Your mistakes. You fix them.” So laconic, so utterly Yassen.

    Alex subtly manipulating him, and the conversation about John.

    *happy hound sigh*

      Thank you so much for this adorable comment Fred 💜 It was lots of fun playing with these two, trying to figure out how much snark and antagonism to use while keeping it obvious that Yassen cares about Alex in his own twisted way... And I'm very happy to read the characterisation worked for you, notably because yours is so amazing!

      Alex needs to be able to manipulate arseholes in order to survive this world, and it was also a pleasure to write him trying his skills on Yassen!

      As for the conversation about John, I kind of headcanon John and Yassen watching Once Upon a Time in the West together in Paris, and Yassen thinking Harmonica is an inspirational character. For the record, as far as dubbings go, this one is excellent and the punchlines are incredibly well-translated.
