No, thank you Jemima! It was an incredibly inspirational idea, and trying to come up with reasons why they would end up building an igloo when there are so many faster designs of snow shelters + I headcanon Yassen as an areshole despite the tiny Alex-shaped light in his heart was a blast.
Also had plenty of fun trying to come up with ideas about how Yassen would end up packing useless things and what they could be (there was even shaving cream in one version of the draft, but even working under the assumption he had packed in a hurry and couldn't find the first aid kit it was too much, so I had to remove it XD)

Lucy!!! I just came back for a re-read and realised that I never did come back and comment again! Haha igloo is the only form of snow shelter that I knew the name of (I can now add quinzee to that list 😂) I absolutely love all of your Alex and Yassen interactions, and this fic is no exception!
(I'm now very happily just thinking about how funny it would have been if you'd included Yassen having the flask of hot chocolate too and that he'd accidentally packed the shaving cream instead of squirty cream and then Alex has to sit there while Yassen drinks the hot chocolate (without giving him any because, while he has a tiny Alex-shaped hole in his heart, he's not giving up his hot chocolate) pondering the fact that Yassen's drink of choice to keep him warm in the snow is hot chocolate with squirty cream 😂)
Right from the off, you set up the tone of their relationship and aloof Yassen and snarky Alex is always a winner! All of Alex's thoughts are fab!

Something else that occurred to me - even in weather-appropriate clothing, I'm betting that Yassen would have gotten cold enough just standing still and watching Alex attempt to build his quinzee, so even though the practical lesson was not appreciated by Alex, I'm choosing to believe that it wasn't Yassen just being the worst 😂
“’I’m building us a snow shelter,’ he says right before he makes me dig again,’ Alex mocked. I love!! Sassy Alex is always a delight!
The change from Alex's surprise at how easy teamwork is with Yassen to his realisation that they were actually in danger if they didn't get the igloo finished is amazing! J'adore!
And then Alex searching the backpack 😍 the first things he finds being weapons is so funny but so on point!
The idea of Alex crawling out of the igloo entrance all bundled up with socks on his hands and a scarf around his head to hand Yassen the torch is fantastic! As is Yassen's silent, raised-eyebrow comment
“And I suggest you stop behaving like a brat unless I start treating you like one and make you sit on my lap,” Yassen added coolly. 😂😂😂
Yes Alex, guilt trip the assassin by making him believe that you're completely frozen 😂 And then Yassen offers him the heat pack 😍😍 (there's that Alex-sized hole in his heart 😂) and then Alex weighing up the pros and cons and being sad that his evening's entertainment has run out 😂😂
Did Yassen sound embarrassed? Alex thought he sounded embarrassed. Did he consider he had poorly planned his gear? Because if that was the case, Alex wanted to know more! Hehehe! This whole section is fab! (Alex's entertainment is kind of back on 😂)
Their conversation at the end!! Alex needing to know what Yassen planned to do the next morning (which, tbh, relatable - if I was stuck in an igloo with an assassin who didn't seem to want me dead but who worked for an employer who definitely did, I'd want to know too 😂). Alex coming to the conclusion that Yassen had deliberately chosen to help him 😍🤩
And then Alex's thank you/insult coupled with Yassen's initial misinterpretation is delightful!
