We can't host images in the Archive yet, so to insert art in a work you will have to first host it elsewhere. You can use a site such as , Photobucket, or Imgur. This means you will need to upload the files from your computer to one of those sites -- for that, you will probably have to make yourself an account there.
Once the image is uploaded to one of those sites, you can insert it into your work using either the HTML Editor or the Rich Text Editor.
HTML Editor:
Many websites that host your images will provide the code to embed the image in another site. Just remember that the code _has_ to be pasted into the HTML Editor. Some sites do provide a lot of formatting in their code, like sizing, but the part you absolutely need to keep is the >img src="LINK" /< portion; pasting that into the work text box on the Archive’s posting form will do the trick.
Rich Text Editor:
If you prefer to use the Rich Text Editor, you can click on the "Insert Image" icon. You will need the actual link to the image, instead of the whole embed code. It will be something like http://www.host.com/.../image.jpg or http://www.host.com/.../image.png - note that it has to have the file extension at the end (the, for example, '.png' or '.jpg'). You have to copy the link into the “Image URL” space of the popup box that will come up when you click the 'Insert Image' button.
