So glad someone reminded Colin of what he had done in the past! I'm happy it was Benedict musing this thing and then telling Colin about it. Because Colin's actions in the past have been questionable, and he truly should think about those actions. And hope for the love of God that Penelope still wants to marry him. Lol. Because if someone reminded Colin of these things, who is to say no-one reminded Penelope of the same things, and had her wonder if she truly wanted to marry Colin.
But this was sweet and angsty, and a wake up call to Colin, which he does need. Thank you 🧡
I've partly written this because it always bothered me that That Scene was a thing that was apparently significant enough to be in two books but there wasn't really the payoff that that decision suggested it needed and this occurred to me as a possible explanation that gave me a little of the resolution I wanted. But mostly this (and it's on your face and I'm to blame) happened because Colin 'My Wife' Bridgerton may be late to the game, but once he's in, he's IN so you know that, unintentional or not, having to grapple with the fact that he hurt Pen at some point is going to be painful.
Fortunately for Colin, everyone who cares enough about Pen to raise questions is too invested in their relationship, which is why they instead focus their energies on reminding him how lucky he is lol.
Comment on now that I see you
