  1. As someone who technically identifies as bisexual but prefers to self-identify as queer because I’ve never felt any ownership of that term or community, thank you for putting it into words.

    “…he has lots of identities—hockey player, Candian, history buff, photographer, even boyfriend—but that his sexuality isn’t one of them.” I felt this in my *bones* because that’s what I’ve been trying to explain to people for ages, that I’m so many things and my sexuality is only part of it but it’s still there, almost in spite of the fact that I’m married to a (wonderful) straight, cis man. So thanks for writing a wonderful Jack and giving him words I need to hear sometimes.
