    This fandom surprises me, they go from ignoring Aegon to making him a little dog who worships the strong bastards, of course he loves Harwin as much as his father, obviously, and of course his biological brother with whom he spent his childhood together all the time and which is explicitly mentioned in the book that thanks to his return he was able to smile again, Aegon doesn't give a shit about his existence, because of course Aegon only exists to remember and venerate his bastard brothers, he cares more about the father of his bastard brothers ....that of his own brother

    The twins passed it on to you, they were with him, as much as they could and always supported him, hahaha but the simple fact that you insinuate that Aegon is "stealing" the crown from Baela or the strong bastard is a fucking insult.

    Damn, if you are going to use Aegon to make a fic in honor and veneration of your precious strong bastards, better leave him alone, when will Aegon be recognized for being the king he was always destined to be and not a replacement for your bastards? (I remind you that Aegon existed long before the bastards and even his own father, Daemon) and I don't know whether to get angry or not about the fact that you don't use Viserys for this fic....

    It's difficult in this shitty fandom to be a fan of Aegon III and Viserys II, I'm sick of you.

    And yes, if I have read more chapters, clearly I cannot stand so much filth against my poor boy, but I have decided to put it here so that more people can see it.

      Hi! I’m not going to address much of this because your opinion is yours and it’s fine if you don’t like the Strong boys or the fandom. You clearly don’t want to have an actual discussion about our maybe diverging thoughts, and hey, that’s cool! You do you.

      But I did want to clarify a couple things: I wrote this in close third perspective and Aegon III, his canon self, was highly depressive. He worshiped his older brothers-also canon-and at this point in canon timeline thinks Viserys is dead because he left him behind, and his wracked with guilt about it (Viserys doesn’t reappear until after the marriage to Daenaera). So when Aegon is upset at his “failings” or thinks Baela should have the crown, it’s not because I think he’s a usurper. Considering canon Aegon III was like “give the crown to Gaemon Palehair” I don’t think it is a stretch to see him as a depressed child who has a difficult relationship with kingship.

      I like playing with POV, one thing GRRM does that makes me love his work. It’s okay if you’re not into it, but I did want to point that out. I have different opinions than the characters in the fic.

      If you hate the fic, that’s fine, but maybe it’s not for you. If you wanna hate read it, that’s fine too. I’m probably not going to reply again because I do this for fun, not to be insulted. Love constructive criticism or real discussion, not so much being insulted for my takes on things in my own fic.

      Targeting an individual author's work and airing your fandom grievances in their comments is asinine and sophomoric. The author invited open discussion of differing opinions and constructive criticism, neither of which apply to your comment here.

      Clearly, your goal was to gain views and stoke the flames of fandom vitriol rather than say anything meaningful, since you "put it here so that more people can see it", all while posting anon. If you're simply looking for like-minded, bandwagoning automatons or pointless internet clout, may I suggest you peruse twitter, reddit, or any of the myriad discord servers that surely cater to your preferences?

      You don't have to like this story. You don't have to like the conceit or the liberties taken or the characterizations. But you can and you should treat the person writing it with respect.

      Let me introduce you to the golden rule of AO3: Don't like? Don't read. But if you're going to read, definitely don't comment.
