OK. I’ve had this in my read later list for a few months and now that I feel like I have the attention span to read it, I’m so happy I did. I love this exploration that you’re doing. I like how you flesh them both out, explore a softer, fuller Will and give Molly a backstory. She is so sweet and humble and perceptive. Wally is adorable, and I think lowering his age here (he would’ve been 5 when they got married after all) would’ve allowed Will to bond with him and step into the role of dad easier. I love how Will loves them. And Hannibal… it must feel like a dream to him, them there and what Molly proposes. I can tell it’s gonna be really fun. Really intriguing. Thank you for writing this.
awwww you've touched on all my favorite bits, i'm so glad you enjoyed it!! the one thing i will say - that thing about Wally being younger and how it would allow Will to bond with him more? i think you're spot on the money. i just think this version of Will doesn't realize he's successfully bonded with Wally lmao... he still has that same paternal ache we see with him in canon, how there's a distance between him and Wally that he doesn't know how to breach. meanwhile Wally's like "yeah he's my dad, i don't know why he's being so weird about it" 😂
