    I wonder how often he’s been complimented to his face since his King Steve days. I can’t imagine it happening much at all with the relationships he has. Joking, bickering, and teasing are fun but it doesn’t soothe insecurities

    LOL. I wonder if the soulmate thing is drawing him towards Eddie or if this is all Steve. He mentioned the attraction strengthening after being pinned to the wall, which happens to be when the first half of the bond sparked

      I've been wondering the same thing!!
      On screen, we only see Dustin and Steve bickering. It's mostly light-hearted but I don't think Dustin or the others genuinely thank him or compliment him ever. But I'm certain the kids all love him.

      That's a great question!!
      I always like to think that soulmates compliment each other on essential things (like they both like kids, are nerdy in their own way...)
      A soulmark just shows that this is YOUR person. So you're more aware of it.
      And Eddie has never really been part of Steve's life. He doesn't really know him. And now he's becoming very aware of Eddie, his personality and the things that make him tick 🥰🥰
