The group began moving towards it before Zane stopped them. "Cole goes first." His words soft as he ushered Cole through the gateway, then himself. Jay and Kai following closely behind. The ship then snapped, the sound following them through the portal like a sick taunt.

Instead, he's saddled with Frank - a naive android who needs Gerard's help with nearly everything. Gerard's disappointment is weighed against his empathy; he doesn't have the time to train and take care of an android - he can hardly take care of himself - but can he really get rid of Frank?
