No more late night lab visits with Mr. Stark, hacking into government websites and building new stupid nanotech bots that vacuum the floor only if you beg it and sound like a certain Captain, or robots that twisted in all angles like infinity cubes to play ultimate twister with. No more study sessions with MJ, listening to old punk rock bands and doodling in the margins. No more lego building with Ned, building and taking apart and building that Lego Death Star dozens of times in his bedroom.
And, worst of all, no Aunt May to wake him up on his bad days with a worried frown on her lips and a fresh hot chocolate in her hands to warm him.

Summary
The good news is that Barbara held up on her promise to update Arkham Asylum's security system. In fact, it's been so successful that she's applied them to Blackgate Prison as well. Also, Joker is behind those bars.
The bad news is that Quincy Sharp and Dr. Hugo Strange have used her ideas as a basis for Arkham City: a facility to which they have relocated every inmate from Arkham Asylum and Blackgate Prison. Also, the pipes Joker had his henchmen take to Barbara's legs during that hellish final fight in Arkham Asylum have become her own cage. Because they breaks weren't clean, there's a high chance that her femurs and tibias will stitch themselves together crooked. In other words, she may not walk again. Confined to her wheelchair, she can only watch as Sharp and Strange poison her own brainchild against her.
Unless she re-works that wheelchair into her finest prototype yet. -

His arms wanted to give out, hurt with every motion he made to get closer. The waves helped carry him the last few strokes.
Climbing the ladder felt like an impossibility.

In one of the many realities where the Avengers lose to Thanos and their universe never truly rebuilds, instead of being disintegrated, Peter is saved by being sent away. He ends up in a different universe, alone and fending for himself while mourning the loss of his previous life.
