Summary
This was an assessment I had to do, and I really liked it, so here is my first and perhaps only AO3 post. The task was to write a chapter excerpt from any part of a "spin-off novel" we had theoretically written, from a side story in the play-write by Terror (it's a great book; I would recommend) and present it as if we are at a book reading.

Peter shrugged. “Can’t have him thinking the Easter Bunny’s the only one who leaves gifts.”
Scott chirped from the floor, “That’s Santa.”
Peter waved a hand. “Semantics. They all work for the same team.”
Then he turned and vanished down the hall like he hadn’t just given Stiles something important that only he’d noticed the boy needed.

Stiles, satisfied for exactly three seconds, suddenly frowned again. “Okay, but… why can’t I go too?”
Scott gasped, scandalized. “Yeah! Why can’t we go? We’re brothers now too!”
Noah huffed out a tired laugh, rubbing a hand over his face. “Because both of you are going to be in bed and asleep when we get home.”
Stiles’ whole face crumpled in betrayal. “What? Why?”
“Because school starts next week,” Melissa reminded gently. “And bedtime is eight o’clock now.”
Stiles let out a sound that could only be described as wounded goose.
Scott looked genuinely horrified. “Eight? Like… eight eight?”
“Yes,” Noah said dryly. “Like eight eight.”
Stiles slapped a tiny hand to his chest. “But that’s soon!”
