At 9 years old Dean Winchester likes to think of himself as a big boy. After all, he takes care of his baby brother Adam all by himself when they're not at uncle Bobby's or Pastor Jim's house and dad's gone. This week's hunt finds him on the floor of an obnoxiously seashell themed motel room off of San Francisco's coastline trying to entertain Adam while waiting for their dad to get back. Not knowing that when he did Dean's life would forever be changed. Now if only Sam would get out of the fucking water!

Unfortunately for Sam and his masterful plan to keep him alive, Castiel wouldn't mind Dean Winchester, hater of all things human, getting a few bites.

Sam makes a startling discovery when he finds a hidden file in the Men of Letters bunker. Henry Winchester was never human. He was the product of an experiment to suppress the physical and psychological traits of a supernatural creature, essentially trapping it in a human shell and allowing it to pass as human. The problem? The magic weakens across generations. Dean does not take the news well. His whole life he'd been raised to be the perfect hunter. How can he accept that deep down he's always been something he would have hunted? Something not human? Wanting to make it better for his brother, Sam attempts to reinforce the spell, which only causes it to fail faster.
Set after season 15, episode 19 and disregards the final episode.
