Summary
The IPC Marketing Development Department's battle for control of Aeragan-Epharshel was as resolute as it was swift. Everything went as planned—at the end of the day, their drills were planted, their supply chain was connected, and the rebels who once sabotaged them were dead, by a "natural" disaster that no one could have prevented. Little did they know, then, that their actions would sow the seeds for a natural disaster of their own. Several years later, right after the battle with Irontomb, a new crisis takes the universe by storm, a plague of rot that can take down people and starfaring fleets alike. The Astral Express and their allies will fight to help the world like they always do, but despite having a common goal, not everyone is going to be all that happy about the secrets of the past being dragged into the light...

As non-human species on the Express, Dan Heng and Sunday have quirks and habits that may not be common to see. They are used to hide these aspects of them from others for fear of being seen as different, yet they slowly learn that the other members of the Express will always accept them and wish for them to be comfortable.
OR: Dan Heng and Sunday bond over being different species and slowly grow more comfortable with showing their most non-human traits.

Summary
Something is wrong.
Sunday can tell as much from the moment he wakes up, eyes fluttering open to the soft light the Express uses to mimic morning. It's a sight he’s grown accustomed to, yet today it leaves him with a knot in his throat, with clammy palms sticking to his bedsheets. It is when he draws his first breath of the day, only to find it uneven, that an inkling of something sinks into his bones.
He’s sick, he realizes, and with it comes the fluttering of his heart in his chest, abnormal and abrupt. A rhythm disrupted.
Or: Sunday gets sick, but decides to hide it, not wanting to ruin the crew's plans to go to a karaoke joint. This, of course, blows up in his face.

“Alright then.” He said. The next least-offensive thing he could find was the little vial of particles. He picked it up, and placed it next to the statue. “One more thing.”
Stelle shook her head. “Who knew you could be so cheeky.”
Sunday becomes part of the family, one piece at a time.

“I'm positive.” Welt reaches out and covers Sunday's hand with his own, his thumb stroking the sensitive insides of his wrist. There's something boyishly sweet and shy in his smile as he adds, “I don't mind sharing something of my home. Not with you.”

Sunday has a problem: he's very much in love with one Welt Yang and, as far as he knows, everyone but Welt himself knows it. A surprise birthday party seems like the perfect way to give him something special. Too bad he has to navigate around found family, repression, and all the trauma in the way.
