Summary
The mass effect core goes bright, brighter than the sun. Energy arcs wildly, spastically, and the first structural contact is made by the asteroid. The structure fragments, energy rippling down its spine, all Shepard can see is the white core. It eats her periphery from edge to edge.
She does not feel the void out.
