Being cursed to sleep is absolutely no fun, so what if Scott killed off a few of his kind. Sirens were huge believers in the survival of the fittest and Scott only ever ate those weaker than him. I mean he was an all powerful siren, his voice could bring others to their knees, his appearance attracted both men and women without him even needing to alter it. The other sirens were just jealous.
