Summary

When Mike and Will are forced by Mrs. Wheeler to renovate their beloved old basement (because what else is there to do in a military enforced quarantine!) they wonder if they could ever go back to the innocence they once knew. Mike and El’s relationship is on the rocks, Will is desperate for a connection, and having to live together doesn’t seem to be helping either of their cases. But a lie about a painting, a night light, and a firework show completely reshape the way they see each other.

Jason got dropped off by Trina a day late because of a family dinner with grandparents and Marvin was at work per usual on Mondays, but Whizzer took the day off for Jason so he wouldn't come to an empty house, Whizzer usually worked a little past Jasons school drop off time.
"Hey, Whizzer," Said Trina, sounding a bit tired, most likely from the late dinner the day before, and kissed him on the cheek, tradition from her side of the family, "Trina!" Whizzer smiled, "I hope Jason was good, you look exhausted though, no offense dear, treat yourself when you get home."
They both chatted at the door as you do and then went their separate ways, Trina back to her car a few floors and a parking lot away and Whizzer back into the apartment where Jason already retreated to his room, a little unusual for him...
So Whizzer decided to check it out. He walked down the hallway, and to Jason's room. For a moment, he hesitated before knocking on the door to Jason's room, but decided against his doubts "Jason, can I come in?"
