Summary
It’s Eliza and William’s first Christmas as an engaged couple, and it wouldn’t be a truly memorable one if she didn’t take on the biggest challenge to date… cooking Christmas dinner. Will there be fire? You bet. Will things be perfect? Absolutely not. But it’s Eliza’s last Christmas in her childhood home, and after she finds her mother’s recipe for Christmas Cranberry Pudding, she sets out on a heartfelt mission, Eliza- style. Old friends from Season 1 & 2 return, while new friends of Eliza and William make an appearance in a very special dinner party, full of all the lovely Victorian details.
I treated this little project as a type of Christmas special, complete with all of the cozy details we would hope for Eliza and William. Part of the Festive Challenge from the Scarleteers Facebook Group- had a little too much fun while writing and ended up going way past 3,000 words (for the entire story, more chapters to come). Hope you enjoy!
