En la segunda vuelta, derrotó a Gehrman con rabia y desesperación. ¡Libertad al fin!
Entonces descendió ella: Flora, la Presencia Lunar.
Lo dominó como al Primer Cazador, envolviéndolo en niebla roja y asfixiante. Sin los Cordones Umbilicales, no pudo resistir: se convertía en el nuevo esclavo del ciclo.
¡Y aun así... volvió a la Clínica!
Ahora lo sabía todo: cómo recolectar y consumir los Cordones, cómo sentir ojos abriéndose en su interior, cómo vencer a Flora de verdad.
En la tercera vuelta, todo convergió. Mató a Gehrman bajo la luna sangrienta. Enfrentó a Flora y la hirió mortalmente. Ella cayó, su dominio roto por un instante.
Subaru, al límite -sangre brotando, visión borrosa, casi inconsciente-, oyó una voz suave y aterradora:
«Te amo».
Satella.
Al abrir los ojos, había sol. Cálido, cruelmente normal.

The general consensus from anyone who didn't know him (well... even those that did, at times) was that Modo was feral. He was nuts, unpredictable, impossible to read, and was hard to understand. Once you step back and look at his choices, everything becomes clear. Jett just wished she understood before all of this happened.
When the feral stands against the rabid, the reality of just how the komodo sees them all becomes blatant. He had been saying it all along.

Summary
Eiji is seventeen, and during a summer festival in Matsue his sister drags him over to a mysterious lady offering tarot card readings. He doesn't think much of it, tarot being just a bit of fun nonsense, but some of the predictions 'Madame Tsubaki' makes about his supposed future 'soulmate' prove to be disturbingly accurate.
At a later date and time, Ash is sixteen, hanging out with his best friend, who has brought him along to a street festival in New York. They encounter a strange Japanese fortune teller, who gives Ash a very thorough description of a person he will meet in the future, but he is sceptical. Tarot is illogical and unscientific. Besides, a person that good couldn't possibly exist.

It could be anyone. It could be Gyro Zeppeli, whose departure from his country was veiled in scandal and who needed the prize money for little Marco's execution bail. It may very well be Diego Brando, whose insatiable ambition drove him to get back at those who had wronged him in the past and show his worth whatever the cost. Or it could, just as well, be Johnny Joestar, whose selfishness had left him crippled after a brilliant career cut short, desperate to lift himself up on his own two feet.
But, as luck may have it when people so different come together, none of them realised that their aspirations, no matter how grand, could all come true.
After all, there must be a reason why they kept on running into each other. No encounter, no decision, no action is ever without purpose.
The ball doesn’t just levitate over the net that it hits.
Eventually, it has to touch the ground.
