Summary
A series of one-shots set within the Gorgeous Stuff AU, by me (Weasel), better known as "kittysnail" or "KITTYSNAILSQUARED". This body of work anthropomorphizes the Slugcats (and more minorly the Scavengers) and sets them into society atop the Iterators, with an overarching world story loosely attached to the in-game lore presented by base game and Downpour.
Will be updated with a new chapter every time I've got something to give, and it will be formatted like this to avoid bloat on my profile. Both shipping and nonshipping focused, as well as being platonic, queerplatonic and romantic focused. Please note: the taglist is simply based off of things that exist will potentially be written about, so some of the things mentioned may not exist in the fic yet. I intend to write about all tagged stuff eventually.

Summary

Summary
The Random Gods could not stand forever. Sooner or later, they would all fall, such is the truth of the Great Cycle. However, how to live through it - that is their affair. Summary
The core story, Corroded Destiny, happens alongside the Canon in between Spearmaster and Hunter‘s campaign. It illuminates the fate of Shifting Gales and how her Local Group attempts to help her out of her failing acid-flooded Can.
First Whisper serves as a direct prequel to Corroded Destiny. It will be important for later aspects of CD, and deepens the understanding of the main group and the core situation, shedding some light on Far Whisper's first awakening. FW can be read on its own.
Harassment Approaches illuminates the backstory of Approaching Sky and why his business relationship with No Significant Harassment has been put on ice in CD. What happened between them?
HA is set in-between the first and second Iteration Generation and can be read on its own.Potential and Totality looks back to the very beginning, to the activation of the very first Iterators.

Summary
Iterators, godlike in comparison to most creatures. They were simply made to be more than anything else that came before them in most ways. However, they still are living creatures caught in the cycles of their world. And, crucially, they are still people. As people, they break and suffer and lie and love. As people, they live and die… they still question.
Fivepebbles spent an excruciating amount of time sitting in his own dying body, waiting for the end as he lost more and more. In that time where he was both living and dead, he began to question.
Was he doomed to end this way form the start. But he ends up gasping against the feeling of it all returning to him and realizes he’s been sent back in time. He keeps his condition from going public and vows to change a few things- but can anything truly change his fate? Or is he genuinely that doomed by the narrative?
Aka- My take on the “Pebbles goes back in time/cycles” concept. Planned out about a year ago but rewritten (and/or written for the first time for at least half the chapters) but I decided it’s time to at least start sharing it. This will explore Pebbles as a character, fate, endings, relationships and change- hopefully for the better.

NSH is glad to see Pebbles taking forward steps on their own. The lingering pain from Moon's collapse still leads Sig's own thoughts astray...
But now? Now, they all have an opportunity to fix as much as they could. They couldn't make things right, ever, but they could at least make the best of what was left.
And that was all they needed.... Which is what NSH would be thinking. But right now there were more pressing questions. Like the monstrosity right outside their access shaft.

A few cycles have passed since the mass ascension. Iterators of the Forgotten Valley group are now alone. Some of them seek new entertainment, some devote their time to working on the Great Problem, some rage at the seeming betrayal of their missing masters. But the outside world has changed a lot since their benefactors have left the surface. Their empty cities, gardens and bridges won't stay empty for long.
This fic consists of broadcasts and pearl data, so the chapters will vary in length.
