Rouxls was hired a week ago to work on the puzzles at Card Castle, due to the old staff needing to be replaced. One day, King of Spades summons Rouxls to his throne room (Rouxls doesn't know how to teleport yet), so Rouxls rushes to the throne room to see a tall mysterious woman. The lady seems a bit too polite. A bit too... courteous.
These two idiots are forced to spend time together, and at first, they hate it. They eventually learn to get along, and they end up becoming pretty good friends in the end... Maybe, something more? Who knows? You WON'T know until you read this fic!

After being called to King of Spades' throne room at the most inconvenient time, he is assigned to take care of his son. Despite having no experience with children, he complies to avoid losing his job.
Yet, through his time with Lancer, he notices something off about the child. He doesn't share the same spark that many other children do. He notices when his words go unnoticed; when someone doesn't want him there; gets excited when he's given the chance to learn something new; he's eager to help, even with work that would seem boring if it means spending time with someone. Something is going on with the kid, but he can't quite place his finger on it.
Now, the kid is put in the position of King. Considering he is only ten years old, he needs a lot of help with tasks, and luckily for him, Rouxls is there to help, but Ralsei has also joined in with his own knowledge of running a Kingdom. They learn from each other and even become quite close. Ralsei is smart, but there is still a lot he doesn't know, even about himself. Rouxls becomes someone that he can talk to- and they seem to share more than it first seemed.
