James Bond was never good at just following orders, he was also bad at ignoring his curiosity, and he was also bad at not taking risks, and at the end of the day it was /William/ to whom he’d given his life.
His hands worked quickly on the buttons of his jacket and he shrugged it off, letting it fall to the floor. He didn't have to remove it he supposed but it was an expensive jacket, tailored perfectly for him, and he'd rather avoid any chance of getting it stained. His hands moved to his tie, undoing it and letting it fall onto his jacket.
“W-what are you doing?” Will’s breath was coming heavily and his eyes followed Bond’s every movement with an expression that could never be mistaken for anything other than what it was, ravenous, all-consuming, hunger.
In answer Bond undid the top three buttons of his shirt and pulled the collar sideways, opening it to reveal his neck and shoulder and collarbone, his lips curving into a smirk.
“Come here.”

He was walking down a narrow alley with uneven cobblestones when he saw her, a figure at the far end of the alley, a silhouette lit from behind by the streetlamp burning there, it's yellow orange light tracing the outline of her body, the fall of shoulder length hair, the pointed hat, the broom in her hand, its wooden end resting against the cobblestones. There was something ethereal about the silhouette, something unreal, as though the lamplight clung to her a little bit too closely, outlining her a little bit too well.
Mycroft blinked rapidly, thinking that he was just too tired, that he was seeing someone perfectly normal but his exhausted mind was projecting something else, but before he could look again his foot caught against something and he fell rolling onto the cobblestones.
