This fic will definitely not be for everyone, there will be a lot of focus on trauma. There will be lighter, fluffier, moments but this story focuses on the boys' trauma and whether or not they can work through it, it may be too heavy for some. More or less lots of childhood trauma bleeds into adulthood.

Summary
The point of drills and boot camps and military training was to turn combat into something reflexive and unthinking. Even Sam had said that any soldier felt that way in the middle of a fight, if the training had taken. That it was normal. Bucky struggles to draw the line between being a soldier and having been the Winter Soldier, even after his deprogramming.
Meanwhile, the line between being a super-soldier and owning a super-soldier is too blurry for what remains of Zemo’s principles. He knows how easily he could justify an atrocity to himself when James is the one offering.
