Shane refuses to accept this. This perpetual cycle of suck. When he invited Ilya to his cottage almost four years ago now, he didn't expect their relationship to turn into their fucking burial ground.

He knows he's in a bad headspace and isn't taking care of himself but it's never mattered before why should it now? Well now, he has an annoying (read annoyingly cute) Apollo kid watching his every mood and doing weird things like giving a shit about him.
This is just a little traumatized autistic author writing about my favorite little traumatized Lord of Darkness. There are extreme elements of self-harm, suicidal ideation (a suicide attempt later but he will be okay) and a really bad eating disorder. This is half vent-fic half OTP obsession. Shane should be here right now, should be in Ilya’s house. Ilya should be teasing him about being picky while going through delivery options for food on his phone. Shane should be discovering that Ilya has ginger ale in the fridge and the protein bars Shane mentioned liking in an interview in his pantry. He should be making out with Shane on the couch, sneaking a hand into his pants, teasing him about whether they can beat the deliveryman and arrive before he does. Shane was supposed to spend the night tonight, the Montreal team not set to leave until tomorrow afternoon because of potential bad weather in the morning. Shane should be fed and showered and ready to curl up in bed with Ilya tonight.

He spotted him with three boys, but only one seemed to distance himself from the strange conversation, which he couldn't quite understand because of the noise of other people. Something was not right. He noticed Michael and the three boys were straying from their path. He guessed they were planning to do something other than simply leave the school, so he decided to react. Something was clearly off with these boys. He'd seen Michael with them more than once.
“Hey, Michael!” William called loudly, waving his hand at his son. He might have missed him.
Luckily, Michael noticed him and breathed a sigh of relief. His dad hardly ever picked them up from school, and when he did, it was usually because of Elizabeth or his own decision. It was a chance to avoid trying to run away from another problem, but nothing was his fault to deserve this.
