Grace and Stratt spend a week together on a boat on the way to the launch station. Running out of time (more literally than either of them know at first), Grace decides to confront his feelings for her.
This series explores the way I thought things would play out between the two of them before I finished the movie and it was revealed that Grace was forced to go to space and that Stratt was lowkey kinda evil. (biggest defender tho!)
I haven't read the book (yet, I really want to!), so this fic is solely based on the impressions of the characters and their relationship that I got from (part of) the movie. I made sure to include some real movie scenes, which was more of a hassle than I thought, to make it feel a bit more realistic and like it had a substance. But yeah, ofc it's not canon for the most part.
I'm done with chapters 1-5, idk how many there will be, anything from 6-8 is possible. I'm definitely trying to get to 20-25k words. It's written in Grace's POV but I am considering having the last chapter in Stratts POV. I will upload all the other finished chapters within the next days (just have to copy paste and format them)
