Summary
Tommy chuckled. The nerves were getting to him, but he did his best to cover it up. “You know, it’s kinda cold out,” he said, rubbing his arms as if he could muster some warmth into them. “Maybe we should save this for another night.” The trees rustled above him and he almost thought he could hear whispers, warnings that this was a bad idea. He shuddered.
Jimmy eyed his younger friend in suspicion. “Dude, it is literally 70 degrees right now. You good, man?”
Tommy took a deep breath. “Of course I am! Big Men don’t get nervous, I am not nervous. Only pussies would possibly be nervous right now.” A sudden rustling from a nearby bush startled both of them, breaking the crushing silence and making them jump.
