On October 31, 1981, Voldemort killed James Potter and Lili Potter. He pointed his wand at their 15-month-old daughter and cast his spell. A flash of green light and the Dark Lord was no more.
The Wizarding World celebrated while Albus Dumbledore plotted. He arranged for the Potter child to be dropped off at the doorstep of Lili’s sister, Malee Petunia Evans Lee.
