Summary

"He scanned around him, gray walls, gray floor, metal everywhere. His optics caught on a heavy metal door on the right, a probably complicated lock adorning the structure. His spark sunk, this might be harder than he thought.
The tug of chains caught his audials again. Confused, his gaze wandered slowly in front of him, intakes hitching when he realized there were several tons of beige and purple plating sitting right there. The triple changer was sitting with his knees to the floor, lower limbs tucked behind him. His frame was tense.
When Bumblebee lifted his optics to meet the other mechs, a red and black faceplate grinned at him, servo tugging up in a short wave. Bumblebee stared, terrified. Of course this would happen to him, of course he was stuck in this tiny cell with Blitzwing of all mechs. It’s not like he could catch a break or anything!"
...
Blitzwing and Bumblebee find themselves trapped by an enemy who should have stayed dead. An unsteady truce blooms between them, though Blitzwing can't help but wonder if he wants more.

Summary
A hundred years after the Decepticon victory at the end of the great civil war of Cybertron, Shockwave begins a new, rather indulgent scientific test.
The purpose of the Re-Forge experiment is to see if a spark taken from a purpose-built cold construct mech can be put into a new protoform and naturally form a new frame according to its innate coding, and to investigate how similar or different the resulting mech might be, physically and mentally, from its former incarnation.
The spark of the captured Autobot officer Prowl, previously stored in stasis, is an ideal candidate for this experiment, since much is already known about the mental characteristics he exhibited as a cold construct.
Reborn with the frame he was always meant to have, and with no memory or awareness of his past existence, the spark of Prowl begins a new incarnation of life as a Decepticon and chooses a name for himself, Venator.
Following an assasination, Venator is sent to track and capture the last Autobot known to still remain free, Jazz.

How about something a little bit different. Swerve and Whirl taking each other's places at the start of their lives. Good hands? Check and check. Wanting to do something other than the job they were initially forged to do? Check and check. Inability to keep muted despite it being in their best interests a lot of the time? Swerve has been a part of one bomb disposal unit or another since he was first forged and placed in his function. After years of loyal work he finally scrapes together enough credits to open his own bar, and it goes great.... until it doesn't.

Summary
In a Cybertron ruled not by Functionism, but by the power structure that keeps all minibots enslaved to the "real" mecha, a little yellow bug is purchased from the minibot slave academy by Optimus Prime. Bumblebee, the perfect image of an eager, obedient slave, wants nothing more than to be good for his master. Optimus, who's been working with his allies on advocating for minibot rights, was expecting to find Bumblebee desperate to escape the system and live as a free bot. Bumblebee can't even imagine wanting anything of the kind.
Horrible misunderstandings, miscommunications, and misuse of innocent minibots ensue.-
