Summary
"A writer's conference?" Robert Goren repeated speculatively.
"It's actually part conference and part publisher exhibition," Zes continued, leaning forward. "The first part of the week they hold discussion groups and roundtables and have panels, then later in the week the conference is opened to the public to interact with the authors. It's unique in that aspect, a cross between a writers' seminar and a book fair."
The first steps in promoting Bruno Volpe's war journal, edited by Robert Goren, have begun. The family will travel north to Springfield, MA, where they'll make new friends and encounter several old ones, recalling a tragic family murder that occurred while Goren and Eames worked in Major Case--and also the price of expectations on the survivors.
The stories in this series all build on one another and should be read in order starting with "Requited." The previous title in this series was "Blue Christmas."
