Summary
Trini was still here. Her heart was still beating, her lungs were still taking in oxygen, she was still alive. She found that unbelievable, that she still had a chance to help, to fight.
But she was not stupid enough to think that she had come away from the encounter unscathed. The scars on her neck were proof that the fear and paranoia and worry she felt wasn’t irrational. Trini could feel it in the spike of her heartbeat every time she felt water drip onto her face, the clenching of her muscles every time that she lay alone in her bed looking up at the ceiling, and the breath she lost every time that she saw flashes of green and gold.
It had a base in the way that that monster’s fingers had curled around her neck, and her nails had dug into Trini’s skin, her teeth had glinted yellow in the dim light from the streetlight outside her window.

Summary
Cooper has had hundreds of names etched on his skin. Blaine has had one.
“What if she’s the one?” Blaine asks, mouth full of toothpaste.
Cooper plants his feet on the ground. He points, as dramatically as he can in the cramped bathroom. “Then she’ll wait,” he declares, spitting foam everywhere. “We’ve got the rest of our life. Another day or two won’t hurt.”
Blaine spits into the sink, civilized. “What if she’s not?”
For years, Cooper has had a litany of names writing their way across his body. Susan is replaced by Lydia is replaced by Jamie is replaced by Jessica is replaced by Audrey is replaced by Nicole is replaced by Elanor. They remain for months at a time before they fade, a hundred connections sparking before fading.
Cooper shrugs. “Then we’ll have had a good run of it, and hopefully we’ll part as friends.”

"I'm sorry" Words he's wanted to say to his brother for a long time now. He's unsure if it was because he nearly killed Evan or because he was an asshole for no reason. Is he really sorry, or even any better than William for feeling regret?
----
Michael Afton deals with the guilt of nearly killing his brother, his sister is gone (probably dead), and his father was recently arrested for murdering several kids or something. Luckily his friends are there to calm him down, probably. (Look, they're trying their best, okay?) -

In which Peter learns that he is worthy of food, shelter, and a family. (His time on the streets made him forget.)
Part 3: please don't let me go down -
Two times Peter goes running back to May. Two times Tony is there for him afterwards. -

Summary
John Smith. Sure, he's a bit eccentric. He can't resist keeping his friend Donna up at three in the morning with existential questions about the universe and toasters. He's prone to arguing with history professors about 'what really happened,' and what is up with his fashion sense? But he's a normal, human person.
A completely normal, one hundred percent human person.
But then again, statistics lie, everything is relative, and when John wakes up with the ability to see Time itself and the terrible feeling that the alien beat of two hearts in his chest where he once had one is somehow familiar, he finds it's worth revisiting his definition of 'normal.'
