This takes place during the Yu-Gi-Oh movie Dark side of Dimensions. Kaiba made a deal with Yugi that if he wins, Yugi will finish the puzzle and let the pharaoh possess him again so that Kaiba can duel him.
Seto Kaiba successfully wins against Yugi. Yugi shows Seto that there really is no way to bring Atem back, as he puts the puzzle back together and nothing happens. Kaiba won't accept that reality. He promises Yugi that no matter what, he wont stop trying to bring the pharaoh back.So a day later or whatever some time passes. Kaiba confronts Yugi alone, and proposes another way he can settle the deal. Since Yugi technically still has to complete his part of the deal after losing. And since he wasn't able to summon Atem back, Kaiba suggests.. another way to "bring Atem back"...
