Yes, this is another part of this strange little AU and no, this is not a satisfying ending so I am planning a part 4 (as if I don't have enough unfinished series here as it is) and PLEASE, mind the tags, because this is NOT a pleasant part. There's no rape, but there's a lack of honest consent.
Xue Yang is ill and his abusive asshole of a boyfriend "takes care" of him. Mainly, taking even more control of his life, under the disguise of "worry". The extremely dubious consent is a MAJOR trigger warning.
There are no actual snakes appearing, though. Thank fuck.
