Summary
Alex’s fingers rake through his hair, and one of his legs hooks over Buck’s waist, entangling them further. The bed is a mess of sheets and pillows and duvet, and this, Buck knows, is what absolute bliss feels like. He buries his face in Alex’s chest, pressing an abundance of kisses to Alex’s sternum as Alex’s leg curls around his waist and locks them together. Buck’s arms move to wrap around his torso, and Alex returns the movement, interlocking them completely. Slowly, tenderly Buck’s fingers trickle down Alex’s spine, then back up, and Alex huffs out a noise of contentment as his head falls back into the pillows once more.
“We should just never get out of bed,” Alex muses, eyes closed against the light, lashes fanned against his cheek, Buck’s golden boy.

Summary
A thousand thoughts fly through Buck’s mind as he’s trying to focus on the search and rescue mission he’s been tasked with. As much as he wishes he could pretend that everything was normal and this was a normal night searching for a normal lost person under normal circumstances, things were decidedly not normal in the littlest bit because the subject of said search and rescue mission was the son of the President of the United States, one Alex Claremont-Diaz, which made everything that much bigger and more important than any other team Buck had been part of.
More importantly, however, was that one Alex Claremont-Diaz wasn’t just the first son - no, of course he wasn’t, because that would be too easy, wouldn’t it? Buck could understand the importance of that mission without feeling like his life was about to come crashing down around him. But this mission was different because Alex was his boyfriend, his partner, the love of his goddamn life, and he was buried somewhere in the Angeles National Forest while Buck was forced to look for him without a single fucking clue as to his whereabouts.
